Govt Bans on Import of Gold, Jewelry, Gemstones

Islamabad: The federal government has imposed a ban on import and export of gold, jewelry and gemstones for a period of 60 days.

“In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Imports and Exports (Control) Act, 1950 (XXXIX of 1950), the Federal Government is pleased to suspend the SRO 760 (I)/2013 – Import and Export of Precious Metals, Jewelry and Gemstones Order, 2013, for a period of 60 days, with immediate effect.” Commerce ministry said.project generator gold
