ISLAMABAD: The Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq dar led the meeting of the Chairpersons of the newly formed Boards of Directors of the Power Distribution Companies (DISCOs). The meeting was also attended by the Minister for Power, Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari.

The discussions centered on the essential human resources needed by the DISCOs. The Chairpersons were urged to reevaluate the level of human resource needs considering the functional requirements and outsourcing principles to achieve maximum efficiency, reduce line losses, eliminate power theft, and enhance customer service. They were also encouraged to review all aging positions that have become obsolete.
The Deputy Prime Minister reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to resolving governance issues within the DISCOs.
