PM Office Hosts Highlights Efforts to Empower Girls in Pakistan
Islamabad: The Prime Minister’s Office, in partnership with the Prime Minister’s Youth Program (PMYP), organized an interactive session with participants of the ACHIEVE Program, an initiative dedicated to empowering young girls from rural areas of Pakistan. This program, jointly undertaken by The King’s Trust International, Zindigi powered by JS Bank, and the Pakistan Alliance for Girls’ Education (PAGE), aims to provide over 300 girls with essential skills to enhance their personal and professional growth.
The session, led by PMYP Chairman Rana Mashood Ahmed Khan, included addresses by key contributors and showcased the initiative’s transformative impact. The ACHIEVE Program offers a holistic training framework focusing on leadership, self-defense, digital literacy, and technical as well as interpersonal skills, preparing participants to contribute effectively to their communities.Punjab CM invites Huawei to invest in Pakistan
Chairman Rana Mashood Ahmed Khan underscored the necessity of fostering an environment that supports women’s empowerment, declaring:
“Empowered women are the backbone of an empowered Pakistan. It is our collective duty to create a society that embraces and nurtures their potential.”
He acknowledged the efforts of Zindigi and PAGE, engaging personally with each participant to commend their progress. The session also featured insights from Syeda Amnah Batool (MNA) and the PMYP focal person, emphasizing the critical role of youth in shaping Pakistan’s future.
Noman Azhar, Founder and Chief Officer at Zindigi, highlighted the program’s mission, saying:
“Our commitment to empowering youth and women is unwavering. Each graduate of the ACHIEVE Program becomes a source of inspiration, catalyzing positive change and contributing to the societal transformation necessary for our nation’s development.”
PAGE’s Executive Director, Fajer Rabia Pasha, praised the girls’ accomplishments, stating:
“The ACHIEVE Program is a long-term initiative that continues to open doors for underprivileged girls in Pakistan. This commitment is creating lasting impacts and changing lives for the better.”
Representatives from Zindigi, including Ramla Shafiq, Senior Marketing Manager, and Moiz Ali Shah, Assistant Manager of Human Resources, as well as PAGE representatives like Program Manager Wajeeha Ahmed and Communications Officer Maham Shahzadi, were present, reflecting the collaborative spirit of the program.
Through ongoing collaboration between Zindigi, PAGE, and The King’s Trust International, these empowered young women are leading the way toward a more inclusive and prosperous Pakistan.
