Mong Kok – In the final of the Hong Kong World Super Sixes tournament, Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan to win the title for the second time.

Aside from Mohammad Akhlaq, no other Pakistani batter could withstand the Sri Lankan bowlers, as he scored 48 runs.

Other contributors included captain Faheem Ashraf with 13 runs, Aamer Yamin with 6, Asif Ali with 0, and Hussain Talat who managed just 1 run.

Pakistan’s entire team was bowled out for 72 runs in the allotted 6 overs.

For Sri Lanka, Dhananjaya Lakshan and Tharindu Ratnayake each took 2 wickets.

Chasing the target, Sri Lanka had a cautious start but managed to reach 73 runs for the loss of just 3 wickets with one over to spare.

Sundon Weerakodi led the innings for Sri Lanka with 34 runs, followed by Dhananjaya Lakshan with 2 runs and captain Lahiru Madhushanaka with 19 runs. Faheem Ashraf took 2 wickets for Pakistan.
