Haaris Mahmood Chaudhary Appointed CEO of Mobilink Bank

ISLAMABAD: The Mobilink Bank Board has announced the appointment of Haaris Mahmood Chaudhary as the new CEO of Mobilink Bank, marking an important step in the Bank’s commitment to advancing financial inclusion, digital innovation, and modern banking solutions.

Haaris joined Mobilink Bank as Chief Operating Officer in 2023 and also served as Interim CEO, where he spearheaded key initiatives such as securing VEON’s $15 million Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) to promote financial inclusion in Pakistan. His leadership contributed to significant achievements, including being recognized as the Best Microfinance Bank at the Pakistan Banking Awards 2024 and leading the State Bank of Pakistan’s Banking on Equality Scorecard for two consecutive years.

With over 20 years of leadership experience, Haaris has worked with renowned organizations including the Universal Service Fund (USF) Pakistan, Citibank New York, Barclays Capital Dubai, Clariden Leu Asset Management (part of Credit Suisse) Dubai, and ABN AMRO Pakistan. His extensive expertise enhances Mobilink Bank’s leadership as it aims to expand its digital banking services, foster a cashless economy, and grow its offerings through platforms like JazzCash.
