Govt focusing on ease of doing business to attract foreign investment: Jam
ISLAMABAD: Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan has stated that the government is focused on enhancing the Ease of Doing Business in Pakistan to position it as an appealing destination for foreign investment.
Speaking at an event commemorating the fortieth anniversary of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Minister emphasized the government’s unwavering commitment to creating an environment conducive to business growth.

He noted that the government’s sound and effective policies have led to a decrease in inflation, while stable and rising foreign reserves have contributed to lower interest rates.
The Minister also mentioned that efforts are ongoing to reduce power tariffs for industries in general and specifically for exporters.
Additionally, he indicated that the transshipment policy is being updated to encourage cross-border trade, aiming to establish Pakistan as a regional business hub for Central Asia, South Asia, and the Middle East.
