Govt committed to completely eradicate polio
RAWALPINDI: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reiterated the government’s commitment to completely eliminating polio from the country.
During a meeting in Islamabad on Wednesday, he commended the prompt identification of polio cases and the declining trend in these cases, recognizing the efforts of all provincial authorities.

The Prime Minister also acknowledged the support of security forces in the polio campaign.
He instructed the digitization of all polio-related data and emphasized rigorous monitoring.
The meeting was briefed that, during the February campaign, 42.5 million children received anti-polio drops. Three polio campaigns are planned for the first half of the current year, with the first one having taken place in February, while the remaining two will be held in April and May.
