Karachi –Gold prices in Pakistan climbed sharply on April 29, 2025 due to positive investor sentiment.

According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold has surged by Rs2,100 per tola to Rs349,200 in the local market.

The price of 10 grams has increased by Rs1,800 to Rs299,382.

In the international market, gold has gained $21 and reached $3,310 per ounce. It included a $20 premium, the association said.

The increase followed a reduction of Rs1,600 per tola a day earlier, when domestic rates had dropped to Rs347,100.

Adnan Agar, Director at Interactive Commodities, said gold was currently moving in a tight range of $3,270 to $3,380.

He said that if prices break above $3,380, they could see a rally towards $3,500. A drop below $3,270 could result in pulling prices down to $3,240,” he noted.

Gold touched a low of $3,275 and climbed to $3,350.This was trading around $3,344,” Agar said and added that gold had gained nearly $70 from its recent dip.

Meanwhile, the Pakistani rupee had posted a minor gain against the US dollar as it appreciated by five paisas to close at 281.02 in the interbank market.

Gold Price has witnessed a decline in the international market on April 29, 2025. Silver has also witnessed a marginal reduction in its price.  Gold price was $3324.72, registering a decrease of -22.98 or -0.69%.

Silver price stood at $32.95, showing a marginal decrease of -0.055 or -0.17%. Meanwhile, Platinum price also amounted to $993.75, down by -0.5 or -0.06%.

Energy Sector

The price of crude Oil WTI also closed at $61.63, showing a slight reduction of -0.42 or -0.69% for the week. Brent Oil also saw a minor dip and closed at $64.38, down by -0.41 or -0.66%.

Copper price stood at 4.8748, with a reduction of -0.0255 or -0.52%. The price of Natural Gas stood at 3.337, gaining 0.015 or 0.60%.Gold Price in Pakistan on April 23, 2025

Market Indices

In the indices sector, the Dow Jones closed at 40,269.50, which was up by 41.9 or 0.10%. The S&P 500 also closed at 5,535.60, registering a gain of 6.90 or 0.13%. The Nasdaq 100 closed at 19,468.30, registering an increase of 41.00 or 0.21%.
