Gilani emphasizes need to boost Pak-Azerbaijan trade ties

ISLAMABAD: Chairman of the Senate, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, has highlighted the importance of strengthening trade connections between Pakistan and Azerbaijan across various sectors.

He made these remarks during a meeting with the Azerbaijani ambassador to Pakistan, Khazar Farhadov, in Islamabad. The Senate Chairman expressed his contentment that the highest-level interactions between the two nations are progressing positively.

He stated that more opportunities should be sought for bilateral collaboration through delegation exchanges, particularly at parliamentary and other levels, to enhance interactions between the people of both countries.

Additionally, he congratulated Azerbaijan on securing the opportunity to host COP29 in Baku next month. The ambassador emphasized the necessity for high-level engagements and increasing cooperation in various domains.
