Gem, Jewelry City to be established in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: A Gem and Jewelry Hub will be created in Islamabad. This decision was made during a meeting of the Prime Minister’s Committee on Precious Stones, which took place in Islamabad yesterday, chaired by the Minister for Industries and Production, Rana Tanveer Hussain.

The meeting also agreed to form an authority dedicated to the efficient utilization of precious stones. Furthermore, the establishment of a Gemstone Export Processing Center was approved, along with initiatives to encourage foreign investment in the gemstone industry.Situation returns to normal in Islamabad

In addition, Gemstone and Jewelry Centers will be set up at international airports. Federal Ministers Aleem Khan, Jam Kamal Khan, relevant secretaries, and other senior officials participated in the meeting.
