Faysal Islami Remittance Agahi Programme launched
Islamabad: Faysal Bank Limited (FBL), one of Pakistan’s prominent Islamic banks, has introduced the “Faysal Islami Remittance Awareness Programme.” This nationwide roadshow aims to educate the public about the importance of using official remittance channels.
Organized in partnership with the State Bank of Pakistan’s Pakistan Remittance Initiative (PRI), the programme seeks to highlight the role of remittances in strengthening Pakistan’s economy, discourage the use of informal money transfer methods, and ensure quick and reliable transactions.CDC – in collaboration with SECP, AMCs and Capital Market entities – organizes “Investor Weekend 2024
The inaugural event took place in Mandi Bahauddin and was attended by senior representatives from the State Bank of Pakistan’s PRI. Additional events are scheduled across the country.
Speaking about the initiative, Mr. Ziad Aftab Ejaz, Head of Global Home Remittance at Faysal Bank, stated, “At Faysal Bank, we understand the challenges of spreading awareness about safe and legal remittance options, including the prevalent reliance on informal channels. Through the ‘Faysal Islami Remittance Awareness Programme,’ we aim to tackle these challenges by educating communities on the advantages of using formal remittance services. This initiative reflects our dedication to bolstering Pakistan’s economy and providing secure, efficient fund transfers for overseas Pakistanis and their families.”
The programme aligns with the bank’s overarching mission to promote financial inclusion and drive sustainable economic growth by offering dependable remittance solutions through its Tez Tareen Remittance service. The event featured interactive sessions, awards for outstanding performers, and recognition of families who actively use FBL’s remittance services.
