EU Announces Rs350m Emergency Aid for Pakistan Flood Victims

The European Union (EU) has pledged Rs350 million to support Pakistan’s flood-hit communities. The assistance aims to meet the urgent needs of survivors affected by devastating monsoon-triggered floods.

According to the EU, the package will provide life-saving health services and direct cash support to vulnerable families. The aid will be channeled through trusted humanitarian partners to ensure timely delivery.

In a statement, the EU expressed sympathy with those who lost loved ones and reiterated its commitment to stand with Pakistan in this crisis. The floods have killed dozens, left many missing, and caused large-scale destruction.

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar also received a phone call from the EU Vice President, who offered condolences and assured Pakistan of continued cooperation in relief and rehabilitation.

Dar thanked the EU for its support and highlighted Pakistan’s vulnerability to climate change.
