Islamabad : Tremors of an earthquake were felt in the federal capital Islamabad and various areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. However, no reports of casualties or damage to property have been received.
According to the Seismic Monitoring Center, the earthquake had a magnitude of 5.2 and occurred at a depth of 212 kilometers. The epicenter of the earthquake was located in the border region shared by Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan.Earthquake jolts several parts of country
The report states that tremors were felt in Peshawar, North Waziristan, Chitral, Swat, Charsadda, Battagram, and Malakand regions.
Tremors were also felt in Muzaffarabad, the capital of Azad Kashmir, and in various areas of North Waziristan.
