Constitutional amendments to improve judicial system: Tarar

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has stated that an extensive consultation process regarding the proposed constitutional changes is ongoing with all political parties.

Speaking to the media in Islamabad this evening, he mentioned that the government is engaging with coalition parties, while JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman is involving opposition parties in discussions concerning each provision of the proposed changes.

He noted that the PML-N and PPP have conducted discussions with JUI-F leadership on the issue.

The Minister emphasized that making constitutional amendments is a significant and critical task, often resulting in delays due to the comprehensive consultation required.

He highlighted that legal experts from all political parties are participating in the consultative process to refine the draft amendments.

Attaullah Tarar remarked that the proposed amendments aim to enhance the judicial system and improve the lives of all Pakistanis. He asserted that Parliament has the authority to amend the Constitution and laws, and it is the duty of lawmakers to pursue legislation that benefits the general public.
