COAS reaffirms commitment to eliminate terrorism, extremism

RAWALPINDI: Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir has reiterated the Pakistan Army’s unwavering resolve to combat Fitna Al-Khwarij until its complete eradication, including its facilitators, supporters, and financiers.

During his visit to the Wana area of South Waziristan today, he interacted with officers and troops, emphasizing that those involved in anti-state activities will face accountability for their actions.

General Munir received a detailed briefing on the current security situation and the progress of ongoing counter-terrorism operations. He praised the resilience and determination of the soldiers in the fight against terrorism, affirming the nation’s pride in their sacrifices. He stressed that the martyrs are the pride of Pakistan, and their sacrifices will always be remembered.

The Army Chief underscored that, with the nation’s unwavering support, the Pakistan Army, in collaboration with law enforcement agencies, remains firmly committed to eliminating terrorism and extremism in all forms. He assured that these efforts aim to restore lasting peace and stability across the country.

Highlighting the bravery and dedication of Pakistan’s armed forces, General Munir described their courage, resilience, and steadfast determination as the foundation of the country’s sovereignty. He also recognized the soldiers of the Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies as the true heroes of the nation, inspiring the entire country through their selfless service.

Upon his arrival in Wana, the Army Chief was welcomed by the Corps Commander Peshawar.
