Champions Trophy, New Zealand reached the final

Lahore. In the second semi-final of the ICC Champions Trophy, South Africa has been defeated by New Zealand by 50 runs.

In the match played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, New Zealand won the toss and decided to bat first against South Africa.

New Zealand scored 362 runs for the loss of 6 wickets while playing first, in response the South African team scored 312 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 50 overs.

Earlier, Rachin Ravindra and Kane Williamson scored brilliant centuries for New Zealand, both of whom put on a 164-run partnership for the second wicket.

Ravindra scored 108 runs and his innings included one six and thirteen fours. Kane Williamson also played an innings of 102 runs with the help of 2 sixes and 10 fours. Finally, Daryl Mitchell and Glenn Phillips also showed their hands.

The Kiwi team scored 362 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the scheduled 50 overs. In response to 363 runs, the South African team scored 312 runs for the loss of 9 wickets.

On behalf of South Africa, David Miller played an unbeaten innings of 100 runs off 67 balls, but he could not win the team.

Apart from Miller, Van Derdusen scored 69 runs and captain Temba Bauma scored 56 runs. Heinrich Klaasen was out for 3 runs, Aidan Markram played an innings of 31 runs.

For New Zealand, Mitchell Santner took 3, Phillips 2 and Matt Henry 2.
