Cars’ sale up 49.66% to 38,534 units during Jul-Nov 2024
ISLAMABAD: Car sales in Pakistan surged by 49.66% during the first five months of the current fiscal year 2024-25 compared to the same period last year, according to data released by the Pakistan Automobile Manufacturing Association (PAMA). A total of 38,534 cars were sold during July-November 2024-25, up from 25,746 units sold in the corresponding months of 2023-24.
• Honda Civic and City: Sales rose to 5,434 units, compared to 3,151 units during the same period last year, marking a significant increase.

• Toyota Corolla and Yaris: These models experienced an impressive 79.40% growth, with sales reaching 8,477 units, up from 4,725 units last year. Suzuki Swift: Sales grew by 57.45%, rising to 2,916 units from 1,852 units in the previous year.
• Suzuki Cultus: Sales dropped to 808 units compared to 1,611 units last year.
• Suzuki WagonR: Sales decreased to 939 units, down from 1,420 units in the same period of the previous year.
• Suzuki Alto: Recorded a 36.90% increase, with sales reaching 15,479 units, compared to 11,306 units last year.
• Suzuki Bolan: Sales surged dramatically to 2,896 units, up from 853 units in the previous year.
The robust growth in certain models highlights strong consumer demand, while the decline in others may reflect shifting preferences or market conditions. Overall, the data showcases a revitalized automotive sector in Pakistan during the current financial year.
