ISLAMABAD: Fifteen designated banks have begun accepting Hajj applications.
According to the spokesperson for the Ministry of Religious Affairs, applicants are required to deposit 200,000 rupees with each Hajj application. The second payment will be collected following the balloting process.Ministry of Religious Affairs, PIA reach agreement on Hajj flights
The government’s Hajj scheme has a quota of 89,605 pilgrims, with an additional 5,000 seats reserved for overseas Pakistanis under the sponsorship program. Overseas Pakistanis will need to make a one-time payment in US dollars.
The government’s Hajj package covers airfare, meals, training, accommodation, and vaccinations.
The spokesperson also noted that individuals with severe medical conditions and children under the age of twelve will not be eligible to travel for Hajj.
