In a major step toward empowering electricity consumers, Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has announced to launch of its much-anticipated mobile app, “Apna Meter, Apni Reading,” for customers to check meter readings. It will help customers interact with their electricity billing, giving users control like never before.

What is the “Apna Meter, Apni Reading” App?

LESCO’s upcoming app is going to allow residential, commercial, and industrial consumers to upload their own meter readings while using a smartphone and from anywhere. Once a reading has been submitted, meter readings will be officially considered for monthly billing.

Lesco has not released full details and screenshots of the app, but customers are excited about it. According to LESCO CEO Engineer Ramzan Butt, the app is aimed at eliminating overbilling, enhancing customer satisfaction, and modernizing Pakistan’s power sector.

“Consumers will be able to submit their own readings easily. It’s a step towards customer empowerment and restoring trust in our system,” said Ramzan Butt, addressing the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI).
