Annual Exchange of Lists of Nuclear Installations and Facilities
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and India shared updated lists of their respective nuclear facilities and installations today. This exchange occurred in line with the Agreement on the Prohibition of Attacks against Nuclear Installations and Facilities between the two nations. Originally signed on December 31, 1988, the agreement mandates that both countries annually notify each other about their nuclear facilities on the first day of January.Power Generation Increased By 6% in Nov 2024
In compliance with the agreement, Pakistan’s list of nuclear installations and facilities was formally handed over to a representative of the Indian High Commission in Islamabad at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
At the same time, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs delivered its list of nuclear installations and facilities to a representative of the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi.
Since the agreement came into effect on January 27, 1991, Pakistan and India have been exchanging these lists without interruption every year starting January 1, 1992.
