ISLAMABAD: Amna Baloch has been appointed as the 33rd Secretary of Foreign Affairs for Pakistan. She took over the position following the retirement of the previous Foreign Secretary, Muhammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi.
According to the Foreign Office, Ambassador Amna Baloch, a seasoned diplomat, has undertaken various significant roles both in Islamabad and at Pakistan’s overseas missions. Her previous positions include serving as Pakistan’s Consul General in Chengdu, China, High Commissioner to Malaysia, and Ambassador to the European Union, Belgium, and Luxembourg.
