Afghan consulate officials violate diplomatic norms in Peshawar
ISLAMABAD: Afghan Consulate officials exhibited severe impropriety and a blatant breach of diplomatic protocols at an event in Peshawar.
The Afghan Consulate representatives were invited by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur to attend the Rahmat-ul-lil-Aalameen Conference in Peshawar.
During the ceremony, Acting Afghan Consul General Mohibullah Shakir remained seated while Pakistan’s national anthem was played, disregarding established diplomatic etiquette and showing no regard for the occasion.
By failing to stand for the national anthem, Mohibullah Shakir signaled a lack of respect for Pakistan and its people.
