ISLAMABAD: Turkmenistan is poised to become the first Central Asian nation to gain access to Gwadar port through the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

An agreement between Pakistan and Turkmenistan is expected to be signed shortly.Chinese Envoy calls for boosting Pak-China cooperation

The Pakistani government has established a committee to review the draft agreement concerning the connection between Gwadar Port and Turkmenbashi Port as part of CPEC.

Both countries are already collaborating on several joint initiatives, including the TAPI pipeline, railway track, and fiber optic connectivity, aimed at linking South and Central Asia.
