KP Pensioners to Receive Payments Directly in Bank Accounts

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has approved a landmark digital pension system aimed at making life easier for retired employees.

Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur said the Ehsaas e-Pension System will go live on January 1, 2026, fully replacing the current manual process. Pensioners will no longer need to stand in queues or make repeated visits to government offices. Instead, their payments will be credited directly to their bank accounts.

Officials explained that retiring employees will be able to submit their pension applications online six months before their retirement date.

The process will be entirely paperless, with all documents scanned and uploaded onto the system. Automated digital tasks will then be assigned to relevant departments to verify and approve the claims.

The new platform will be connected with NADRA, the Accountant General’s Office, and banks, ensuring secure and seamless data integration. A pension dashboard will also be launched for retirees to track their cases in real time.

Authorities added that all orders will be finalized with legally valid digital signatures, a move expected to reduce corruption and prevent unnecessary delays.

Calling the initiative a step toward citizen facilitation, CM Gandapur said the system reflects his government’s vision for a more efficient and transparent administration. He pointed out that 36 public services have already been digitized in the province, and pensions are the next milestone.
