Strong Tremors Jolt Northern KP, Residents Flee Homes in Panic

Tremors from an earthquake shook multiple cities and towns across northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday, prompting residents to evacuate buildings in fear.

The quake was felt in at least 18 areas, including Charsadda, Chitral, Lower Dir, Mardan, and Swat. Other affected districts were Khyber, Landi Kotal, Buner, Upper Dir, Malakand, Jamrud, Nowshera, and Abbottabad.

Further seismic activity was reported in Mohmand, Shangla, Swabi, Hangu, and Bajaur. No immediate reports of damage or injuries have been confirmed.

The tremors caused momentary panic as people rushed out of homes, offices, and schools. Emergency response teams have been placed on alert while the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) collects data from affected regions.
