Minister Gouba underscored Burkina Faso’s push to grow its energy sector and noted Pakistan’s similar commitment to sovereignty and self-reliance in energy. Malik affirmed Pakistan’s dedication to safeguarding sovereignty and ensuring economic and energy security, pledging full support for joint ventures and capacity-building initiatives.
Roadmap for future projects
The meeting also addressed the prospect of formal agreements in energy and minerals development. Both governments agreed to outline a roadmap for concrete, actionable projects, marking what officials described as a step toward stronger bilateral economic and energy ties.
Officials from both nations indicated that follow-up meetings will focus on identifying specific investment opportunities and launching pilot projects in resource exploration.
