PAF Officer Files Case Over Social Media Blackmail

A Pakistan Air Force (PAF) officer has lodged a police complaint in Mianwali, claiming he was blackmailed and threatened with false rape allegations by a woman he met through social media.

According to the First Information Report (FIR), the pilot said the woman contacted him earlier this year using a fake identity, introducing herself as “Rafia from Multan.” She allegedly shared an emotional story to gain his sympathy and start a relationship.

The two eventually met in Multan in April, where the officer discovered that her real identity was different from what she had claimed.

Following the meeting, the officer ended all communication. However, the woman allegedly began calling him repeatedly and pressuring him to marry her. When he refused, she is reported to have threatened to file a false rape complaint and damage his career.

The pilot, currently posted at M.M. Alam Airbase, said his personal and professional reputation was being put at risk by a calculated smear campaign.

The FIR also notes that the same woman was previously involved in a similar case in 2021, where she allegedly filed a false rape complaint under Section 376 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) in Multan.

The officer has now requested urgent protection, urging authorities to act before his life and career are further endangered.

Police have registered a case against the woman under multiple charges, including fraud, false accusations, and violations of the Telegraph Act related to harassment.
