The Punjab government has launched a CM Punjab E-Taxi Scheme 2025 aimed at providing facility to the people and generating employment for youth across the province. This scheme is part of scheme to provide cost-effective alternative to conventional fuel-powered vehicles.

A Greener, Cleaner Punjab

Punjab government has introduced this scheme as part of long-term Green & Clean Punjab vision, to curb emissions and reduce reliance on fossil fuels. The prices of petrol and diesel are high and this scheme will replace these petroleum products with zero-emission electric taxis.

Key Features and Benefits

Here are some of the most significant highlights of the CM Punjab E-Taxi Scheme 2025.

Interest-Free Loans: Punjab government has partnered the Bank of Punjab (BOP) and Punjab Small Industries Corporation (PSIC) to offer interest-free loans to eligible individuals.
Initial Rollout: In the first phase, Punjab will distribute 1,100 electric vehicles. According to reports, government plans to deploy up to 20,000 electric taxis across Punjab in the coming years.
Affordability & Installments: The cost of an electric vehicle amounts from Rs 4 million to Rs 5 million. Monthly installments are Rs 8,000–10,000 with available financing of up to PKR 6.5 million.
Loan Tenure: Repayment period is five-year.
Charging Infrastructure: Punjab has set up 200–250 EV charging stations in Lahore. It plans to expand this network across the province and exploring options of solar-powered charging solutions.

The requirements include:

Minimum qualification: Matriculation
Possession of a valid LTV (Light Transport Vehicle) driving license
Domicile in Punjab and verified via CNIC

Create Your Profile by providing your CNIC and a verified mobile number.
Complete the Application Form with accurate personal, financial, and vehicle information.

- Educational certificates
- Proof of residence (if required)

Future Expansion and Digital Integration
