BCCI Reveals Cash Prize For Champions Trophy 2025 Victory

ISLAMABAD: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a cash prize of Rs 58 crore for the national team after their triumph in the Champions Trophy 2025.

Led by Rohit Sharma, the Indian side remained unbeaten throughout the tournament, securing their third title in the competition’s history.

The Men in Blue showcased dominance in the ICC event, winning four matches before reaching the final.

Their campaign began with a six-wicket victory over Bangladesh in Group A, followed by another six-wicket win against Pakistan, ensuring a spot in the knockout stage.

They then topped their group with a 44-run victory over New Zealand, setting up a semifinal clash against Australia.

In the last-four encounter, India defeated Australia by four wickets before facing New Zealand in the final.

BCCI President Roger Binny emphasized that consecutive ICC title wins reflected the team’s commitment and excellence. He stated that the cash reward was a testament to the efforts behind the scenes.

Binny also highlighted India’s strong cricketing system, pointing out that this was the country’s second ICC title in 2025, following the ICC U19 Women’s World Cup win.

BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia lauded both players and support staff for their contribution, attributing India’s dominance to years of hard work and meticulous planning.

He expressed confidence that the team would maintain its stronghold in world cricket, given their current momentum.

BCCI Vice-President Rajeev Shukla acknowledged the players’ composure under pressure, stating that their performance would serve as motivation for aspiring cricketers.
