India Defeats Australia to Qualify for the Final
Dubai: In the first semi-final of the ICC Champions Trophy, India defeated Australia by 4 wickets and qualified for the final.
In the knockout competition of the event played in Dubai, India achieved the target of 265 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the 49th over.
Virat Kohli scored 84 runs for India. Shreyas Iyer 45, Hardik Pandya 28, captain Rohit Sharma 28, Akshar Patel 27 and Shubman Gill 8, KL Rahul 42 and Ravindra Jadeja scored 2 runs and returned to the pavilion not out.

For Australia, Nathan Ellis and Adam Zampa took 2, 2 wickets while Cooper Connolly and Ben Duarshuis took 1, 1 wicket.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, the Australian team scored 264 runs in the 50th over.
Captain Steven Smith scored 73 runs for the Kangaroos. Alex Kere 61, Travis Head 39, Marence Lebouchen 29, Ben Duarshuis 19, Josh Ingles 11, Nathan Ellis 10, Glenn Maxwell 7, Adam Zampa 7 and Cooper Connolly 0 were out.
