Pakistan’s digital economy could reach $75b

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s digital sector holds the capability to expand to $75 billion, driven by strategic investments in broadband, financial technology, and artificial intelligence.

He noted that nearly 6,000 companies in Pakistan are employing more than 300,000 IT professionals.

Aamir Ibrahim emphasized that Pakistan is at a pivotal stage of its digital transformation, with the IT industry projected to grow by 30% annually, reaching $3.6 billion in revenue by 2029.

He further stated that government-led initiatives are accelerating the development of a digital economy, fostering economic progress and financial inclusion.
