Bilawal Bhutto Criticizes PML-N over Arrest of PTI Lawmakers

Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has criticized the coalition government led by the PML-N that it is following in the footsteps of the PTI regime by arresting PTI lawmakers.
He was referring to the arrest of PTI lawmakers from the Parliament that had led to hue and cry by the political parties.
They had termed the arrest of PTI lawmakers an attack on the democracy.

He was speaking in the National Assembly.Mr Bilawal also called for responsible behavior from members, as their role in the house carries great prestige.
He also referred to recent political developments and called for addressing the issue of political victimization.
He criticized the coalition government led by the PML-N for following in the footsteps of the previous Imran Khan-led regime by arresting PTI lawmakers.
Bilawal warned that this tit-for-tat approach may provide short-term satisfaction and went on saying that it would ultimately harm everyone involved.
He also urged PTI lawmakers to give up their confrontational tone and urge to fight their legal battles on merit.
Bilawal also pointed out the political challenges that had surfaced after the Charter of Democracy. He called for fighting for supremacy of the Constitution.
He also proposed to constitute a parliamentary committee to address the ongoing tensions in the country.
Moreover, Bilawal also expressed concerns over a decision of PTI to quit assembly that led to sufferings in the country.
He also asked PTI to return to parliament to serve the nation and rather going into politics of rallies and protests.
