Building reservoirs vital to combatting intensifying drought risks
ISLAMABAD: Constructing additional water reservoirs and restoring wetlands are crucial steps to address the increasing risks of recurring and intensifying droughts in the country.
This was highlighted by the Spokesperson for the Ministry of Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, Muhammad Saleem Shaikh.

He noted that inadequate rainfall has intensified water stress in agricultural lands across Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan, particularly in rain-fed areas.
