Emergency visit of Chairman National Highway Authority Shahryar Sultan to Balochistan.
ISLAMABAD: Chairman NHA reviewed the ongoing work to remove snow on the snow-affected highways and maintain traffic at all times through National Highways. He also visited the Afghan border. NHA engineers, concerned officers and staff were appreciated for their excellent performance.
According to the details, the N-25 and other connecting national highways were severely affected due to the recent heavy snowfall in Balochistan.Chairman NHA visits Rescue 1122 Punjab Headquarters.
The roads were covered by snow, due to which the travelers and local residents were facing severe difficulties due to road closures and other problems. However, on the urgent instructions of Federal Minister of Communications Abdul Aleem Khan, Chairman NHA Shahryar Sultan issued effective orders to the relevant engineers, construction experts, officers and staff of NHA. By immediately removing the snow from the snow-affected roads, not only the traffic should continue all the time, but also help the passengers who are facing difficulties due to the snow.
The work was completed quickly, the traffic was restored while alternative routes were provided for the work. Chairman NHA inspected the National Highway N-25 and other highways, even up to the Pak-Afghan border.
He also visited the other areas of Balochistan. On this occasion, while talking to NHA officers and staff, he said that Balochistan is our heart, the construction and development of which is the top priority of the present government. He appreciated the staff for keeping the traffic open and expressed satisfaction with the overall performance.
