Cars’ sale up 51% to 46,398 units during Jul-Dec

ISLAMABAD: According to the latest data from the Pakistan Automobile Manufacturing Association (PAMA), car sales in the first half of the fiscal year 2024-25 experienced a significant rise of 51.32% compared to the same period last year.

The data revealed that a total of 46,398 cars were sold during this period, in contrast to 30,662 units sold in the corresponding months of the previous year.England beat Pakistan by an innings and 47 runs in the first Test

Breaking down the figures, sales of Honda Civic and City increased to 6,404 units from 3,938 units sold during July-December 2023-24.

Toyota Corolla and Yaris sales surged by 82.47%, reaching 9,633 units compared to 5,279 units last year.

Suzuki Swift also saw a notable rise in sales, with a 60.71% increase from 2,230 units last year to 3,584 units this year.

However, Suzuki Cultus sales slightly decreased to 1,130 units compared to 1,062 units in the same period last year, while Suzuki WagonR sales dropped to 1,159 units from 1,829 units.

Suzuki Alto, on the other hand, showed a significant 46.16% growth, with sales rising from 13,405 units to 19,594 units this year. Additionally, Suzuki Bolan sales more than doubled, climbing to 3,013 units from 1,179 units in the same months of the previous year.
