PCB Level-2 Coaching course commenced.

Lahore: A total of 30 participants, including nine Pakistan international cricketers (men and women), have enrolled in the Level 2 Coaching Course, which began today at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore. The six-day course will conclude on Sunday, 19 January.

Prominent participants include Pakistan Test cricketers Azhar Ali (97 Tests, 53 ODIs), Bilawal Bhatti (2 Tests, 10 ODIs, 9 T20Is), Naved Latif (1 Test, 11 ODIs), Shadab Khan (6 Tests, 70 ODIs, 104 T20Is), Wahab Riaz (27 Tests, 91 ODIs, 36 T20Is), and Yasir Shah (48 Tests, 25 ODIs, 2 T20Is). Additionally, Pakistan internationals Asad Ali (4 ODIs, 2 T20Is), Mohammad Kamran Hussain (2 ODIs), and former Pakistan Women’s captain Bismah Maroof (136 ODIs, 140 T20Is) are participating in the course.

The program focuses on advanced coaching skills, such as power hitting, modern technical and tactical aspects of cricket, communication strategies, and fostering mental and physical resilience. Participants will also learn about contemporary game planning and its execution.

The course is being led by former Test cricketer Saqlain Mushtaq and former international cricketer Dr. Imran Abbas, supported by NCA coaches Abdul Majeed, Iftikhar Ahmed, Mauhtashim Rashid, Rahat Abbas Asadi, and Saboor Ahmed.

Upon completion of the course, participants will have three months to submit their assignments. Those who successfully meet the requirements will be awarded Level 2 Coaching Certificates.
