Probationary Officers of the Information Group Call on PM Shehbaz Sharif
ISLAMABAD: A group of probationary officers from the 51st Common Training Programme of the Information Service of Pakistan, who have recently completed their specialized training and are preparing to assume their respective roles, met with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister’s Office. The Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, along with the Federal Secretary for Information and Broadcasting, Ms. Ambreen Jan, were also present during the meeting.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended a warm welcome to the officers and highlighted the vital role that information officers play in bridging the gap between the government and the citizens, promoting transparency, and building public trust.
The Prime Minister stressed the significance of effective communication, especially in today’s fast-changing media environment, and encouraged the officers to fulfill their duties with honesty, professionalism, and a deep sense of responsibility toward public welfare.
The officers shared their experiences from the training program and expressed their enthusiasm to contribute to the country’s progress and development.
During the discussion, the Prime Minister reaffirmed his government’s commitment to supporting the state-run media, emphasizing its crucial role in fostering national unity and educating the public about important government initiatives. He urged the officers to actively leverage modern communication tools to foster meaningful interaction with the public.
