Engro Fertilizers Launches UgAi App for Direct Purchases and Advanced Farming Tech
Karachi: Engro Fertilizers has introduced “UgAi,” Pakistan’s inaugural integrated agricultural e-commerce platform, aimed at providing relief to farmers by allowing them to buy fertilizers directly at official prices from the company. In the initial phase, the free UgAi app has been launched for farmers in Sindh, with plans for a nationwide expansion in the near future.

Through the UgAi app, Engro Fertilizers will deliver fertilizers directly from its warehouses to farmers, customized to their land size and specific requirements. Consequently, farmers will enjoy consistent access to fertilizers, dependable product quality, and hassle-free delivery. Besides its direct purchasing capability, UgAi incorporates advanced drone technology and satellite imagery for precise crop monitoring, reducing input costs and enhancing crop yields.
Sardar Mohammad Bux Khan Mahar, Minister of the Agriculture Department – Sindh, was the chief guest at the UgAi launch event. The event also featured guest of honor Rafique Ahmed Buriro, Secretary to the Government of Sindh Agriculture, Supply & Prices Department, alongside senior members of the farming community and Engro Fertilizers officials.
During the inauguration, Sardar Mohammad Bux Khan Mahar praised Engro Fertilizers for this initiative, which sets new benchmarks for the country’s agricultural community. He emphasized that the UgAi app would aid in tackling issues like artificial shortages, price distortions in the supply chain, and counterfeit products that negatively affect farmers.
Rafique Ahmed Buriro stressed the essential need for digitization to alleviate farmers’ burdens and boost their efficiency. He noted that this innovation would introduce state-of-the-art practices, raising Pakistan’s agricultural sector to global standards.
Speaking to the audience, Ali Rathore – CEO of Engro Fertilizers, reiterated the company’s dedication to supporting government efforts that empower farmers and strengthen Pakistan’s food security. He remarked that Engro Fertilizers has been a leader in launching innovative initiatives benefiting the agricultural community.
