ISLAMABAD: The Special Investment Facilitation Council is offering comprehensive support to the government in the search for new petroleum reserves.

In this context, the Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) and the China Central Depository and Clearing Company (CCDC) have entered into a memorandum of understanding to explore Pakistan’s shale and tight gas potential.

OGDCL has already invested thirty million dollars to access shale gas reserves to address the country’s energy requirements.
