Toshakhana Two: Imran and Bushra’s Bail Application Rejected
Islamabad: In the Toshakhana Two case, the bail applications of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi have been rejected. The court has set October 2 as the date for framing charges against both defendants.
Special Judge Central Shahrukh Arjumand heard the case at Adiala Jail. The prosecution informed the court that Imran Khan acquired a valuable set worth 70 million rupees from Saudi Arabia for 29 million rupees. The NAB has also obtained the original price of the Bulgarian set from Saudi Arabia through the Foreign Office.

This jewelry set includes a necklace, earrings, a bracelet, and a ring. As Prime Minister, Imran Khan assessed the market value of the valuable set at 5.8 million rupees and retained the gift received by the state without depositing it in the Toshakhana.
Defense lawyer Salman Safdar stated in court that the Toshakhana Two case is similar to the previous reference. Both the previous and new references involve the same allegations, the same plea bargain witnesses, and the same defendants. He argued that after the Supreme Court’s decision to restore NAB amendments, this case should be dismissed.
After hearing arguments from both parties, the court reserved its decision and later announced the rejection of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi’s bail applications, setting October 2 for framing charges against both defendants.
