ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Software Houses Association for IT & ITeS (P@SHA) – the apex trade body of IT industry – has elected its new leadership unanimously for 2024 – 2026 at its Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2024. It is pertinent to note that CEOs of top IT companies are members of P@SHA’s general body. The agenda of the meeting also encompassed achieving $5 billion in IT exports during FY25 through aggressively yet sustainably advancing Pakistan’ tech industry.
Muhammad Zohaib Khan, immediate past chairman of P@SHA, highlighted that the IT industry earned $3.2 billion precious foreign exchange reserves (FER) for Pakistan in FY24; which helped stabilize rupee-dollar parity; generated employment and projected soft-image of Pakistan on a global-scale.

Outgoing Chairman, Muhammad Zohaib Khan and Secretary General, Nadeem Malik, presented P@SHA’s annual performance review during the AGM – emphasizing association’s indispensable role as the sole representative of private-sector of IT industry in coordination and synergy with Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC); Ministry of Information Technology & Telecommunication (MoITT); Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB); TechDestination Pakistan and provincial IT ministries.
Sajjad Mustafa Syed, newly-elected Chairman P@SHA – Chairman of Excellence Delivered (ExD) – brings a wealth of experience from leadership roles at top global IT & consultancy conglomerates like PwC, Oracle and SAP. He secured a $20 million Oracle investment in Pakistan to train 7,000 IT professionals.
Muhammad Umair Nizam has been elected as senior vice chairman of P@SHA; who is the Group Director of Ecommerce Gateway. He has over 18 years of experience in the tech industry. He has been actively involved in P@SHA’s Brand and Industry Engagement Committees; and, currently also serves as the Deputy Convener of FPCCI’s IT Subcommittee, advocating for industry growth.
Raheel Iqbal has been elected as the Vice Chairman – who is a top name in Pakistan’s $400- million thriving gaming industry & CEO of The Game Storm Studios; one of the top gaming exporters out of Pakistan. Whereas, Haris Naseer, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of InfoTech group – one of the top IT exporters of the country – will serve as the treasurer of P@SHA.
